John Shroyer
John Shroyer is one of the Peninsula’s most respected and well-known real estate professionals, with a career that spans nearly five decades. Both his life and career are deeply rooted in the Belmont–Redwood City–San Carlos community, where he grew up and attended Carlmont High School as a long-distance runner on the track team. Shortly after graduating, he launched his real estate career in 1977 and has been serving the Peninsula ever since.
Family is at the center of John’s life. He and his wife, Jane, raised their three sons, Niles, Alex, and Dana, in their longtime Redwood City home, while his 95-year-old mother, Emily, still lives just down the street in San Carlos.
A passionate collector of local-area bottles, John loves uncovering pieces of Peninsula history, often from a kayak outing or while digging behind an old home. His warmth, humor, and unwavering professionalism have earned him a sterling reputation among clients and colleagues.
Testimonials
What clients and colleagues have to say about John.
When we decided to sell our home in Redwood City, I knew just who to call. I had heard John Shroyer's name frequently over the years and he has a great reputation. We interviewed John and immediately felt comfortable. He knew just what needed to be done before putting the house on the market and had competent professionals in line to get the work done at a reasonable price. That took an enormous burden off us and made the process seem effortless. After receiving 5 offers, John took us through the pros and cons of each so we could make an informed decision. We highly recommend John Shroyer.
